This study aims to analyze the level of Islamic financial literacy and public understanding of Islamic banking products in Jambat Akar Village, Seluma Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The results show that the community's Islamic financial literacy is still in the low category, characterized by a lack of understanding of Islamic principles, basic contracts (murabahah, mudharabah, musyarakah, salam, istishna', and ijarah), and the operational mechanisms of Islamic banks. Most people do not understand the substantial differences between Islamic and conventional banks and assume that Islamic banks simply replace the term interest with profit sharing. Factors such as limited education, lack of socialization from financial institutions, the dominance of conventional banks, and limited access to information are causes of the low level of public understanding. This study recommends the need for continuous improvement of Islamic financial education through collaboration between Islamic banks, village governments, and educational institutions to improve public financial literacy and encourage optimal utilization of Islamic products.
